Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Smart PDF handles files and limited technical information when you use the website.
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Browser-based PDF processing
Smart PDF is designed to process PDF files locally in your browser whenever technically possible. Files selected for the current PDF tools are not intentionally uploaded to a Smart PDF PDF-processing server.
Your original files remain on your device. Generated files are provided through browser download features.
Information the website may receive
Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure may receive limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the service.
- IP address and approximate request time
- Browser, device, and operating-system information
- Requested pages and basic error or security logs
Document information
Smart PDF does not intentionally send PDF contents, extracted text, page images, thumbnails, or filenames to analytics or advertising services. Do not submit documents through an external integration unless you understand that provider's privacy practices.
Local browser storage
The website may use browser storage for essential preferences or installed-app behavior. Clearing your browser data may remove those local settings.
Third-party services and links
The website may rely on hosting, content-delivery, or security providers to serve the application. Links or future integrations operated by other companies are governed by their own privacy policies.
Data security and retention
Local processing reduces the need to transfer document contents, but no website or device can be guaranteed completely secure. Standard technical logs, when generated by infrastructure providers, may be retained for operational and security purposes according to their policies.
Children's privacy
Smart PDF is a general-purpose document utility and is not directed specifically to children. Do not use the service to provide personal information about a child without appropriate authority.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the service, its integrations, or legal requirements change. The date shown at the top identifies the latest published version.
